Hooray and Hallelujah,
Yesterday, March 23rd,2017 all of the names in the title above were mentioned on “America’s Favorite Black Talk Show” . That show is “The Carl Nelson Show” featured on WOLDC Radio , which is owned and operated by The Media Mogul Ms.Cathy Hughes. The show airs Monday through Friday 4:00pm to 7:00 pm. Eastern Standard time and it is coming out of Washington,DC.

Mr. Carl Nelson as usual hosted “The Big Show” and the first guest was The Republic of Suriname’s First-time ever Maroon Ambassador Her Excellency Dr. Fidelia Graand-Galon of the Okanisi/Ndyuka Tribe of Maroons. The Ambassador is also a past President and member of the Maroon Women’s Chamber of Cooperation, Their membership includes President Dr Cynthia Alendy, Gloria “MaMa G” Simms, Dr. Merina Eduards,Ms. Akilah Jaramogi and I am proud to be the North American Representative.

Due to an emerging News story and programming changes, Gloria “MaMa G” Simms Paramount Chief and Grand Gaama of Jamaica’s Maroons and Akilah Jaramogi’s who Represents Trinidad and Tabago’s Merikin Maroons, proposed segment could not be recorded. However there are plans for a future show where they will ,of course be included.Mr. Carl Nelson who was very happy with the show ,when I spoke to him this morning told me to inform him as soon as a Meeting of Maroons is scheduled.

Professor William L. Katz, Author of “BLACK INDIANS” A HIDDEN HERITAGE helped interview Dr. Ambassador Fidelia Graand-Galon who he is well acquainted with and he has written about her in relation to “OPERATION SURINAME”:MAROON DAY 2015 which was when I was brought to Suriname by the MWCoC and visited 10 Maroon villages on three major rivers. Ambassador Graand-Galon was part of the “A” Team as the Protocol Officer/Interpreter and Guide,
UCLA Grad Student Mr. Jeremy Peretz was the Photographer and
Documentarian(see photo above). Below is a transcript of my call into the show:

“Greetings Brother Carl, U miti ooo (good afternoon) Queen Mafide m’pikin sisa (my little sister) Aa de fu gi daa (Welcome) Gaatangi fu yu (Thank you) for all that you have done for the Maroons of the Western Hemisphere and especially for me. Your presence makes our sun shine brighter Most Royal Daughter of the Okanisi Ndyuka
Maroons of the Republic of Suriname.” My call ended.

However , Dr. Ambassador Fidelia Graand-Galon’s appearance was awesome she was, knowledgeable, professional, warm and passionate about the subject of Maroons in the Disapora. The listening audience was truly enthralled by the information that she imparted and they are eager for more.
